Prima Materia

An alchemical act of creation. Prima Materia is an exhibition built on a shared foundation: identical wooden palettes and cast plaster hands created by each participating artist. These materials form structured installations that reveal the intimate relationship between tool and maker. The show examines the physical and symbolic origins of artistic labor, presenting a unified yet diverse study of process, gesture, and material transformation.

Wes Anderson’s films live in a world slightly out of time — where symmetry matters, feelings are precise, and characters stumble through grief, loyalty, love, and rebellion with impeccable wardrobe choices.

This January, Film Club presents four double features that trace Anderson’s evolution: from scrappy early misfits to meticulously constructed storybook worlds. Each pairing speaks to themes of family, exile, ritual, and chosen belonging — funny, sad, and strangely comforting all at once.
